Promised You A Miracle was recorded during rehearsal sessions
for the second leg of the Sons And Fascination Tour and issued
as a single almost as a whim to see what it would do.
It probably exceeded all expectations when it climbed up the UK chart, reaching #13, and yielding the
Minds their best chart performance to date.
Lacking any other new material, Virgin turned to Sons And Fascination
for bonus material. The otherwise forgotten Theme For Great Cities
was selected from Sister Feelings Call whilst an unreleased instrumental take of
Seeing Out The Angel represented Sons And Fascination
and was remixed by Ian Caple.
The Theme faithfully reproduced all the songs on the original 12" and marked the CD debuts of both
the extended version of Promised You A Miracle and the instrumental remix of
Seeing Out The Angel.
