background:
After the opening dates of the Graffiti Soul tour,
during which the band played as a standard quintet, Jim announced that
Sarah Brown would be joining the band for the rest of the tour.
Spotted on stage by Jim when she toured with Bryan Ferry,
Sarah added the backing vocals which had been missed since the 1980s
(when Robin Clarke and Annie McCaig sang with the band).
Special guests OMD also changed the group dynamic, with Andy and Paul
returning to the stage for Simple Minds' first encore and performing Neon Lights.
(Andy joined Jim and Sarah
at the front of the stage whilst Paul shared the keyboard stand with Andy).
The same line-up returned for the Australian Tour 2010 and
Festival Tour 2010 - both of which were continuations of the original
Graffiti Soul Tour.
