background
This was a working title for Somebody Up There Likes You.
The Monitor Mix #1 recording, which was committed to tape on the 18th May 1982, is
extremely bass and drum heavy. This instrumental version doesn't differ much from the album
version except for a count in and extended outro. It eventually fades out. It is a much quieter
recording than the other songs on the tape.
A second Monitor Mix #2 is so much better - a clearer, less bass heavy recording.
There are some slight changes to the synths. It is spoilt by some piercing feedback later in
the recording, but this is the definitive early recording of the song. The song reaches a natural
conclusion - and there's an extra burst of synths at the end.
Rough Mix #1 is a very bass and drum heavy recording of the unedited
album version. It starts to fade out but ends with some tape squeal.
Tk1 Instrumental was committed to tape on the 13th August 1982. It is roughly the
same length as the album version, but has one or two slight differences. The Edit Sections were
created at the same time.
