This is described as Reel Two: Out Takes of the
New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) tapes.
It includes the full, unedited mix of Someone Somewhere In Summertime.
The description of the tape in the library is:
It would appear that Pete Walsh prepared the full version and the edit version
together. The edit was then physically removed from the spool, and added the to stereo master. This left the untouched
Full Duration and part of the Edit sections which still remain.

additional information
This is described as Reel Four of the
New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) tapes. (There is a note that
Reel Five is also written on the tape box so there's some confusion about its origin.)
It used to include the Full Duration mix of Colours Fly And Catherine Wheel but
that has been extracted as a master for the album just leaving the final seconds of the longer fade out (which includes
some slightly different emphasis on the lyrics). I assume the missing tape was transfered to the album master tape.
(A pity as the Full Duration may now be lost as it was cut up to form the final album version).
The Full Duration Instrumental is complete, and the tape finishes with a brief burst of some Edit Sections.

This is described as Reel Five of the
New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) tapes.
It included two remixes of Promised You A Miracle for the album.
The short remix was extracted to the album's stereo master tape. The long remix remains and is simply the
Extended Version of the song which had been previously released. (There may be extra percussion over
the coda and fade which needs checking.)

(There is a note that
Reel Six is also written on the tape box so there's some confusion about its origin.)
It includes the Instrumental of Big Sleep and
a brief edit section of an extended version of
New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) which includes extra lyrics.
The description of the tape in the library is:
The master has been extracted but no Edit Sections remain of Big Sleep -
the tape starts with the Instrumental.

This is described as Reel Eight of the
New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) tapes.
It includes the Full Duration Instrumental of Somebody Up There Likes You and
around 30 sections of Edit Sections.
The description of the tape in the library is:
This would seem to indicated the the Full Duration mix was extracted for the album. It must have been extracted
and then further edited and this version has now been lost. However the existing Tk1 Short Fade is slightly
different than the album version, giving further credence that Tk2 Full Duraction was used for the album.

This is described as Reel Thirteen of the
New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) tapes.
The tape listing is incorrect as it hasn't been updated. The Full Duration was extracted for the album - meaning that
the extended version appears on the album itself - leaving the
slightly shorter Short Fade and Fade Only (Without Herbi).
The Short Fade mix of Hunter And The Hunted
is slightly different from the album take. Fade Only has an alternative end section which doesn't feature
the Herbie Hancock instrumental.
The description of the tape in the library is:
This description is slightly misleading. The tape doesn't feature alternative takes, it simply features alternative mixes.
I believe Short Fade and Fade Only (Without Herbi) were prepared for potential single use.

additional information
This was the fourth tape prepared for the Someome Somewhere In Summertime single.
It starts with just Charlie's opening guitar solo which was especially recorded for
the single. It's then followed by some brief Edit Sections, before the main 12" Remix Instrumental
starts, preceeded by Mel's count in.
The Instrumental of New Gold Dream (81,82,83,84) is the
German 12" Remix but it has the opening drumming.
