Background
Simple Minds are back. Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill
have brought 80's band members Derek Forbes and Derek Forbes
back into the fold, marking a return to their roots.
Theie new album Neapolis (literally 'new city') draws on all the elements that made
Simple Minds a cutting edge force in music. Their early albums featured strong industrial funk grooves and driving bass lines,
making them true pioneers of early 80's dance music.
By the early 80's they had established themselves as a major act, grduating quickly to huge stadium status.
From 1984's Sparkle In The Rain to their last release 1995's
Good News From The Next World all their albums have debuted at either Number 1 or 2
in the chart.
