Too Much Television was the first song released
from the Black And White 050505 period and also the first Simple Minds
song initially made available as an Internet download.
Radically different from the other material on Black And White 050505, it was exclusively
premiered on the Billy Sloan show of the 9th August 2005. It was released by iTunes almost a week later.
After its virtual release, it appeared on some formats of Black And White 050505 as a bonus
track, and achieved more mainstream exposure as a B-side of Stranger.
The artwork for the download was prepared by Fabrique and was based on one of the images in the
Black And White 050505 booklet.
