- The selection of the second single from Black And White 050505 was
a difficult decision, but eventually all concerned opted for Stranger.
- The track was slightly remixed by Jez Coad for this single. However, the
London Mix was an extremely subtle remix, not really differing from the original album mix.
- The London Mix was first made available exclusively in the UK as an
Internet-only release on iTunes. Extremely limited
CD promos of the remix also appeared and quickly became top collectables.
- The actual CD single was first quietly released in The Netherlands in
early December 2005 with Germany following in mid-February.
- The European CD single collected up all the miscellaneous tracks from the album sessions:
Bird On A Wire had previously appeared on the UK CD of Home;
Too Much Television was another iTunes exclusive and
Stranger [London Mix] appeared on commercial CD for the first time.
- Unfortunately the UK release failed to appear. Sanctuary's financial situation was not good and so plans were
quietly shelved.
