background:
For a period of time between 1992 and 1994, it's almost as if Simple Minds didn't exist. No
news emerged from the band, and there was a single, solitary compilation album.
When Simple Minds eventually reemerged, they'd been writing and recording in several different
recording studios in the UK and the USA. The band was essentially Jim and
Charlie (as reflected by their sole presence on the artwork for
Good News From The Next World) but
Malcolm Foster was also back, playing bass.
The result of the album was recorded by session musicians.
