Alfred Bos documented a five track demo tape being cut by
Johnny And The Self Abusers in the early part of 1977.
However, given that the other three songs have never surfaced, and that
Jim mentioned a two track demo being recorded, then this track
listing is more likely.
According to Alfred Bos, it was financed by
John Milarky's parents.
Jim has further muddied the waters claiming that it was either
Brian McGee's parents, or the band themselves.
It cost £60 to record.
Brian Hogg sent cassettes of these demos to
Stiff and Chiswick, and it was the later company who signed the band.
It is believed the songs on the single were lifted directly from this tape.
