On Monday September 28th, SIMPLE MINDS release a double A-sided single on Virgin Records, featuring Love Song and Alive And Kicking. Taken from their forthcoming album Glittering Prize - Simple Minds '81/'92 the single looks set to see the return to the charts of one of the most prolific and successful rock bands of the past ten years.

Love Song is a remixed version of the track that appeared on SIMPLE MINDS' 1981 album, Sons And Fascination. Produced by Steve Hillage (currently working with System 7 and The Orb) and remixed by Greg Jackman.

Alive And Kicking was originally released in 1985 and was featured on the phenomenally successful album Once Upon A Time. A top ten hit around the world at that time, the song is currently featured in the massive media coverage for BSkyB's Premier League football coverage.

The single is released on four formats - 7", Cassette and two CD EP's. THe 7" and cassette feature Love Song and Alive And Kicking, with extended versions on the first CD, together with an instrumental version of Alive And Kicking. The CD Special features four tracks recorded live at Glasgow Barrowland last year - Love Song, Oh Jungleland, Travelling Man and Alive And Kicking.
