As the first single from a new album, Alive And Kicking wasn't giving much
away with the title track only appearing in edited, album and instrumental guises. Virgin boosted the
interest by issuing the single on four formats and fans had to track down the two limited edition 12"
singles for the live version of Up On The Catwalk recorded at
Glasgow's Barrowlands in January 1985.
This Theme simply reproduced the limited edition 12" on CD, marking the CD debuts of the instrumental of
Alive And Kicking and the live Up On The Catwalk.
