- After the release of Street Fighting Years,
A&M selected Take A Step Back as representative of the album for
radio play, and duly pressed up a promotional CD single for the radio stations to play.
- The paltry release clearly showed A&M's problems with the album. Whilst Street Fighting Years'
political stance didn’t resonate with America and wasn't suitable for promotion, the other tracks were simply too long.
It would seem that it was a toss-up between Wall Of Love and Take A Step Back.
- Take A Step Back was duly selected and remains testament of
A&M's problems of promoting Street Fighting Years within the American heartland.
