Given the nostalgic overtones and setting of the song, and that it was
promoting a definitive retrospective,
then the direction of the Broken Glass Park video was obvious: a compilation video of
locations in Glasgow interspersed with early recorded performances.
Notable Simple Minds landmarks were added into the mix of general Glasgow skylines. The legendary
Barrowland Ballroom appeared along with a still of Holyrood Catholic School. And then there were the videos, merged
into the mix of broken windows and shattered buildings: Chelsea Girl,
Love Song,
Sweat In Bullet,
Promised You A Miracle
and Glittering Prize. Less obvious choices also turned up
as there were also brief glimpses of the band’s two appearances on The Old Grey Whistle Test.

The video is available on YouTube.
Single track DVD promos (by Virgin) were also distributed by the record company.
The DVDs had printed labels and were distributed in clear PVC sleeves.
