stepped in as the band's new bass player - but only after he'd squared it with Derek Forbes.
The fan's first glimpse of the new member of the band was at Live Aid
where Simple Minds performed Don't You (Forget About Me)
for the first time.
With the sessions coming to an end, it was this line-up which recorded the groundbreaking
Once Upon A Time album.
