someone sequel (demo)

composers
Written by: Kerr / Burchill / MacNeil

background
Someone Sequel was a slow tempo, piano led, instrumental idea based around a typical verse-chorus structure which eventually became Alive And Kicking. Whilst the verses have a different melody the chorus is instantly recognisable.

It first appeared on Jams #1 which was recorded at Barwell Court in January-March 1985. Of all the ideas on this tape, it was one which was never continued, with just the chorus being salvaged. Most of the song is there but the end of the tape is reached near the end and the audio is chewed.

The second take appears on Jams #2 which appears to be a continuation of the same session. The tempo is slightly slower but the song is complete. The third take is slightly faster but includes the start of the verse melodies and extra embelishments that move it closer to Alive And Kicking.
