background
The Monitor Mix #1 recording, which was committed to tape on the 18th May 1982, is extremely bass and drum heavy. This instrumental version doesn't differ much from the album version except for a count in and extended outro. However, it's at a slightly slower tempo and is rather plodding. It comes to a hesitant end after the lenghty outro.

The Rough Mix #1 was put together on the 30th May 1982. Again the drum and bass dominate. It is still an instrumental and features a count in and extended outro with lengthy fade. It is still at a rather slow, plodding tempo. But Mick has added some extra embelishments and ideas which aren't on the final recording.
