Simple Minds, currently the most exciting and critically acclaimed band based in Scotland, have just
signed a worldwide recording deal with Zoom Records, who themsevles recently signed a marketing and distribution
deal with Arista Records worldwide.
Simple Minds have been together since early 1978, combining ex-members of
Johnny And The Self Abusers and The Subhumans, two recorded Glasgow groups, with other musicians.
The line up is:-
Jim Kerr - lead vocals.
Charlie Burchill - lead guitar and violin.
Mick MacNeil - keyboards.
Derek Forbes - bass.
Brian McGee - drums.

Thursday, 14th Glasgow Art School
Friday, 15th Dundee College Of Technology
Thursday, 21st Astoria, Edinburgh
Saturday, 23rd Afternoon - Kirkcaldy Abbot's Hall,
Evening - Kinghorn, Cuinzie Neuk
Thursday, 28th Grangemouth Town Hall
In between which the group will be rehearsing to record material for a debut single and album in the new year.
