Following considerable demand for its release as a single, CHELSEA GIRL (ZUM 11) - from SIMPLE MINDS' maiden album LIFE IN A DAY - is being rush-released on Friday 22nd June.

On the single's flipside is GARDEN OF HATE, a new song which is not from the album but one of the stand-out numbers is the group's live set. The record has a special colour label and a colour bag featuring distinctive arwork relating to both 'A' and 'B' sides.

The release of the single comes a week before SIMPLE MINDS embark on their first major solo tour for the U.K. which opens at Birmingham's Barbarella's on Saturday 30th June. Only about half the tour is so far confirmed - further dates will be announced shortly.
