Tony Stewart, an NME journalist, pressurised his editor to allow him to write
the review of Life In A Day in
April 1979. He recalled it was a quiet week for music and was able to write a lengthy review of the album.
True - it was drowned in influence, but Stewart highlighted the band as one to watch and predicted big
things of them in the 1980s.
After the success of Simple Minds, his review has been seen as visionary.
