Scottish musician Peter John-Vettese was the first keyboard player to fill the void left by the
departure of Mick MacNeil. He joined Simple Minds after
a long tenure with Jethro Tull where he appeared live for the
Nelson Mandela Freedom Concert and the small
tour of Germany in 1990.
Acting as an independent session musician he rejoined Simple Minds for the writing of
Real Life.
He has since forged a successful career working with many artists and writing film soundtracks from his base
in Battersea, London.
