This release was definitely the jewel in the Theme's crown.
Probably aware that Themes Volume Four only included one 'CD-exclusive' track (the unauthorised mix of Kick It In),
Virgin added the exclusive Verona EP, three live tracks cherry picked from the band's live concert
in Verona on the 14th/15th September.
Whilst there was an obvious tie-in with the video, this Theme
featured the full unedited versions of the tracks; whilst the video only included
edits or versions with voice-overs. Therefore it became an absolute 'must-have', and a small reminder of
the Street Fighting Years tour.
This generosity continued with the first Real Life singles which saw the full
live versions of East At Easter and
Soul Crying Out being issued.
