With the Once Upon A Time tour associated with Amnesty International,
and with a message of support appearing on the sleeve of All The Things She Said,
Simple Minds did not hesitate when asked to donate a song to a forthcoming Amnesty compilation album,
and offered Ghostdancing. As extra promotion, the band issued
Ghostdancing as a single with all proceeds going to Amnesty International.
The single was effectively a remix single featuring lengthy extended versions of both
Ghostdancing and
Oh Jungeland by Zeus B Held. These two tracks featured on the 12"
along with instrumentals.
The single was also issued as a limited edition CD, a first for Simple Minds, which meant this
Theme was essentially a CD reissue.
