B1. Mandela Day(5:45)

catalogue
Virgin SMX 3
SMX 3A-1U-1-1 TOWNHOUSE DMM//SMX 3B-1U-1-1 TOWNHOUSE DMM

format
7" with black and white paper labels in a plain white die-cut sleeve.

release date
February 1989

additional information
Oddly, the jukebox pressing (which was just the standard commerical pressing with a large centre hole) was the first pressing (normally jukebox pressings were made later as suggested by the matrix numbers and silver labels of the jukebox editions for other singles). This may have been due to the serious typo on the B-side: so instead of writing off the batch, they drilled them for jukebox play instead where no-one would notice the error.

additional information
Virgin Italy pressed up a surprising amount of these jukebox singles, so copies still turn up today. The jukebox sticker was usually stuck to the front of the sleeve.
