Virgin LA-483

format
LP with colour labels in a full colour picture sleeve.

additional information
A top Simple Minds collectible, this Mexican pressing of the LP featured a unique sleeve. A cassette was also
available (CS-483); presumably it featured the same artwork.
Obviously someone in Virgin's Mexican office fancied the artwork of
Theme For Great Cities - The Definitive Collection rather than the standard
Sons And Fascination cover. So when the Mexican office decided to belatedly issue the album in 1982,
they just picked the US compilation's sleeve and coloured it differently.

additional information
The graphic designer tried to capture as much of the LP's styling and layout as possible resulting in this unique and
collectable sleeve. It included more of Malcolm Garrett's
original design (unlike the cropped and minimal UK version).
They also tried a similar trick with the accompanying Sister Feelings Call Australian cassette.
Many thanks to Erwin for the scan.
