The sound quality was greatly improved.

Unfortunately the rest of the package was less well thought out. The sleeve was a rather unexciting shiny dull blue (although Virgin attempted to match the colour of the Arista originals), whilst the inner sleeve featured the same artwork both sides. The quality control definitely slipped on this one.

The first song was incorrectly called Reel To Real whilst most unforgivable was the album's title: Reel To Real Cacophony.

Ironically its release was delayed due to 'production difficulties'.

All parts of the LP's packaging were faithfully reproduced in the 8 page CD booklet with the inner sleeve being correctly reproduced in full. As the original LP label was just a dull blue textual affair, the CD was similarly drab.

The booklet also featured details of the full remastering series. A competition slip was also enclosed to win all the limited edition mini vinyl CDs.

The sound quality was greatly improved.

This promotional CDR was packaged with the other five releases from this set, wrapped in the associated press release, and the whole package secured by rubber bands. When they reached the collectors' market, most were sold separately.

Considering the mess they made of the first title of the set, things could've been much worse.
