additional information
This release was previously part of the Rejuvenation (2001-2014) box set, which
was released in March 2019. A month later, it was issued separately.
The two bonus tracks, Being Boiled and Love Will Tear Us Apart,
were added as they'd appered on US and Canadian versions of the original album, and had also been added to the LP.
The Man Who Sold The World [White Spaces Main Mix]
was a radio-friendly mix which could've been one of several remixes prepared as bonus material for singles. However, it wasn't released at the time,
and later turned up on the hard-to-find
Live And Rare compilation, and the
even-harder-to-find White Spaces promo 12".
Vince Clarke's remix of Homosapien was produced in late 2001 and was probably considered as a bonus
track for a single. However, Eagle kept hold of it, and released it as part of the Cry single.
Jim expanded on the sleeve notes he'd originally written for Rejuvenation (2001-2014)
and so the version in the booklet is longer.
Designer Stuart Crouch digitally recreated the cassette seen on the front cover, rendering it face-on for one of the inner gatefold panels.
