graffiti soul: hungarian promo box set
|
|
Universal Records in Hungary produced a limited edition promotional box
set of the album. It was going to be a lavish package: a full colour box would hold eight separate CDs, booklet and exclusive T-shirt.
Unfortunately costs wouldn’t allow such extravagance and the box-set was trimmed down to a simple white box with title sticker containing the eight CDs.
Each CD featured one track from the album, housed in a glossy promotional card sleeve, with title artwork on the front and the associated
Gilbert and George graphic on the back.
Thirty sets were produced. Twenty were distributed to radio stations and magazines; five were given away as competition prizes; and
the remaining five were kept by Universal employees.
