additional information
Original Arista pressings should also have their lyric sheets; these 12" square sheets had the lyrics on one side
and pictures of Jim on the other.
The sleeves were made from heavy duty card and aren't easily damaged. However, being non-glossy, copies are usually
discoloured (expecially if price stickers have been stuck to them).
Some copies had £3.99 RRP (Registered Retail Price) stickers.
European copies had the lyrics sheet as the inner bag and not as a separate sheet.
The first 5000 copies had green labels with Arista reverting to the blue label for subsequent pressings. And the
first 10,000 copies of the album were sold at a reduced price.
The album was first reissued by Virgin in 1982 when they purchased the back
catalogue from Artisa. It first appeared as a full price album (Virgin V2247, October 1982)
before being issued again as a budget release (Virgin OVED 221, June 1988). The reissues did not include the lyrics sheet.
