- This limited edition 7" picture disc of Waterfront was one of two
Simple Minds records issued for Record Store Day 2015.
- Only 1000 copies were pressed.
- It was released to tie-in with the
Sparkle In The Rain reissues. As there wasn't
originally a limited edition release of Waterfront,
and the other two singles from the album were pressed up as picture discs, then it seemed an ideal
opportunity to plug a gap in the discography.
- The artwork for the A-side of the disc was a stripped down, reworked version of the original.
This followed the original designs for the Speed Your Love To Me
and Up On The Catwalk picture discs which also
featured simplified artwork.
- Simple Minds also issued a limited edition of Celebrate - Live At The SSE Hydro Glasgow
as part of Record Store Day 2015 on the same day.
